What do you guys know about the TOR network, have you ever used it, and if so, what is your opinion?

Used it over 2 years ago. I thought the whole idea was cool, but it was slow, so I stopped using it.

It is rather slow. I would assume on good internet it wouldn't be too bad.

But imagine the possibilities. I mean there is a lot of info out there that you can use to your advantage. Hell you could be come a drug dealer if you wanted.

I get about 100-300 KB/s on my 15 Mbps connection when running TOR, when usually the downloads peak at 2 MB/s. Almost too slow for my purposes :P

But yeah, if you really wanted to work anonymously TOR is a good option. Create a second online persona, don't link it to anything you normally use, and DOX the bad guys and all sorts of stuff.

Yeah, it would be really good for learning how to hack. So that, uh, you can better protect yourself, of course.
